A letter from our founder
Why Febboo had to exist.
A few years ago I ordered a beautiful kurti online for my best friend's engagement. The website said '3–5 days'. It arrived on a Tuesday. The engagement was on a Saturday.
The outfit was perfect — and completely useless. That day I realised something strange about online fashion: we have made shopping instant, but wearing it painfully slow. The excitement of finding a piece you love quietly dies somewhere inside a courier tracking page.
Kolkata never had that problem. This city breathes fashion — the kurti stores of Gariahat, the saree weaves of Shyambazar, the little boutiques on Park Street that no algorithm has ever found. The outfit you are scrolling for is already hanging on a rack minutes from your home.
